1968 VW Bug with Baja Style Upgrades
This 1968 Volkswagen Beetle is a street-legal Baja-style build powered by a 1600cc engine with dual carburetors and a custom exhaust that gives it a bold, aggressive sound. It features a detachable hatchback and removable windows for open-air fun and easy access.
The car rides on BF Goodrich tires with mag wheels, giving it a tough off-road look while maintaining classic Bug charm. A great blend of vintage character and Baja attitude, this VW is ready for weekend cruises or turning heads wherever it goes.

Any way I can get the name of the company that made this body of someone who knows about the originator/ designer?
Builder’s name is Smisek and, if you search that, you will come up with some fairly sparse information, but it might be helpful.
Do you have any photos with the hatchback on the vehicle?
No—never had it on –but I included picture of top–it just bolts on—
Is this a commercially available body like the Meyers Manx or a one off build? Great looking off road vehicle. GLWTA
