1970 Pontiac GTO – Atoll Blue, Numbers-Matching 400 V8

This 1970 Pontiac GTO is a real-deal GTO (not a Judge) finished in its original Atoll Blue with Judge-style decals added for flair. Under the hood is a numbers-matching 400ci YS-code V8 rated at 350 horsepower, paired with a matching TH400 automatic transmission.

The interior features factory blue vinyl (Trim Code 250) with bucket seats, center console, and floor-mounted shifter. The seats show some wear, and the door panel armrests are also showing their age.

The car rides on PMD wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra radial tires. Recent mechanical work includes new brakes, thermostat, radiator, master cylinder, and hoses. It also features a newer dual exhaust system with upgraded manifolds and a 2023 Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and gaskets. There is some typical drivetrain seepage.

Additional notes:

  • Aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette stereo

  • Auxiliary gauge cluster added below dash

  • Some gauges, blower fan, and hood tach are non-functional

  • Windshield wipers are operational

  • Front and rear seat belts intact

  • Extra parts and exhaust components included

  • Touched-up areas and some body blemishes visible in still photos

This GTO offers strong bones, original drivetrain, and the unmistakable look of a muscle-era icon. With recent servicing and a great color combo, it’s a great candidate for weekend cruising or further restoration.

Was this an AC car and now it is not. Basically looks like it needs a new paint job based on all the “spots”. Right front fender might need replacing due to den in the rib? How about rust under carpet or rubber mat? Tachs can be redone for about $600
