1940 Ford Custom Deluxe Coupe – “Le Cobre”
This is a truly unique 1940 Ford Custom Deluxe Coupe with a fascinating history and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship. The car’s custom journey began back in 1956 when its original owner from East Bridgewater, MA, spent 900 hours transforming it into a sleek, European-inspired two-seater, built entirely with American parts and nicknamed “Le Cobre.” You can see the attached 1956 article for the full story.
Over the years, the car saw several iterations before spending a long time off the road. It was rediscovered by the current owner in 1994, who undertook a full restoration and added his own distinctive touches.
