The stylish 500 model was the top trim level for the Coronet series, complete with trim and appearance upgrades on the exterior and bucket seats and center console made standard equipment on the interior. Under the hood is a 383ci 4BBL V8 engine, which is mated to the preferred 4-speed manual transmission option. As this is an older restoration, we spent a fair amount of time evaluating all of the mechanical, electrical and cooling systems. In addition to routine fluid changes, detailing and tuning we replaced, rebuilt and/or updated any components found to be outside of factory specifications or showing wear including: control arm bushings, leaf spring eye bushings, inner and outer tie rod ends, wheel bearings, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, motor and transmission mounts, clutch assembly, steering coupler, and fuel pump. This is now a very solid, strong and reliable performer, it is ideally suited for the collector or enthusiast that wants an appealing well-mannered driver that is right at home at the local show or effortlessly cruising down the highway.
