Description - Very rare Desoto convertible, one of only 8,100 made and one of only 13 known to yet exist according to the Desoto Club. Even harder to find would be one that runs and drives as elegantly as this one does - whisper quiet, smooth and very road worthy! Powered by a 250cid inline six, mated to a Fluid-Drive semi-automatic transmission she is a breeze to drive. Repainted in 1980 in the original Noel Green color, the bumpers were also re-chromed at the same time. The black cloth top was replaced sometime shortly before that and still appears as new, and functions as it should with the flick of the switch. The leather interior is completely original and still presents quite well, with only some seams beginning to split mainly in the back. The radio and clock are inop. The undercarriage, while nice for its age, does have rust on the inner rockers (see pics). Many receipts and records are included with the car, along with books and manuals. Gauges and lights all function and it has a newer battery. The original MN license plate from 1948 is even included! Have the only Desoto convertible at every show and cruise night in your town!
