"Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this low-mileage 1988 Chevrolet Corvette convertible today. This C4 comes to us today with only 47,741 actual miles, and it's dressed in the desirable ""dark red with saddle-tan interior"" color combo. We believe the Dark Red Metallic paint is original to the car, and it is in presentable driver condition. The car's front end features the Corvette's iconic pop-up headlights and side aero vents. The black body side molding flows around the car at knee height and breaks up all the red. The tan convertible top is in very good condition and free of stains. Though the top is manually operated, it's very easy for one person to quickly put up or take down. Adding to the red are color-keyed dual side mirrors. Around back, you'll find a concave rear fascia with round taillights, a power antenna, and dual exhaust with twin chrome tips. This whole sporty package gets down the road on 17"" cast aluminum factory wheels wrapped in Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tires.
The clam-shell hood lifts forward to reveal a tidy stock engine bay that is home to a 5.7-liter 350ci V-8 with aluminum cylinder heads and tuned port fuel injection. The V-8 is mated up to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that shifts smoothly. When this car left the factory, it was rated at 245 hp and 340 lb/ft of torque � plenty of power to make this 3200 lb. car a ton of fun out on the road!
Open the driver's door to reveal an original saddle tan interior. The driver's door panel is in good condition and features controls for power locks and the 3-speed wipers. Both of the tan leather seats are power-adjustable, and they're perfectly contoured for spirited driving. The driver's seat does have the typical bolster wear you'll find on most C4s with some cracking and a small hole, and it appears to us that the bottom center of the seat has been recovered. The passenger seat shows much lighter wear. A center console divides the seats and features a leather-wrapped shift knob for the automatic transmission, ashtray with lighter, cupholders, and controls for the power windows, mirrors, and seats. The armrest/storage box contains a popper for the rear storage deck where the top stows away. Ahead of the driver is a leather-wrapped steering wheel on a tilt/telescopic column that also offers cruise controls on the turn signal stalk. A crack-free black dash sits above a digital gauge cluster that was pretty cutting edge for its time. On the dash, you'll find a tachometer and speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure & temp, fuel, volts, and coolant temp. There's also a trip computer that displays distance, range, and fuel consumption data. In the center of the dash is a factory Delco-Bose AM/FM/Cassette stereo that provides your cruisin' soundtrack. Just beneath that are climate controls that pump out cold A/C and hot heat with a strong fan on demand. The carpeted rear cargo area has 2 speakers, hold-down straps, the original carpeted factory floormats, the original owners manual portfolio, a laminated reproduction window sticker, and a car cover in a storage bag. The tan carpet throughout the car is in good condition and is kept nice up front with aftermarket carpeted logo floormats.
